im back from camp! it was a 2 days 1 night, NPCC camp, from thursday morning to friday evening. well, from monday to wednesday, the sec3s were all busy with the camp. went to chinese garden to walk the night hike, prepared for the games... bought all the things... and even did the whole camp procedures for a practice. for me, its quite ok la.. not very busy.. but for the camp co-ordinator, acc, secretory, i pity them!
first day!it was quite a tiring day... woke up at 5.20am and reached the coffee shop at 6.15am to discuss about the games.. lol! bt like never do anything at all. anyway, first thing in the morning, we got scolded by the acc, tedmond. actually not us la.. sec1s and sec2s. at first, the sec3s thought that tedmond was acting cool, scolding them. but 2nd day of camp, WE FINALLY KNOW WHY! lols! and after that we preparation of camp. and the sec1s and 2s did drills... ohh! preparation for games was fun... played with flour and sweets and peanuts... and poor derwin ran around the whole school. and then, icebreakers was rather silly. lol! me and sijia was incharge of a boring game. and some of the sec1s gave us black face. i told one sec1 to change her position and she looked at me with a horribly black face and said "i dont want" and i didnt noe what to do!! so i told sijia... but she still dun want to change... so, we decided not to care abt her.. i think if its the camp co-ord. she's dead. shes lucky that shes talking to me and not the cc. LOL! den, because i was incharge of admin too, i was told to go to mr koh's office and call up the sec1s that did not go for the camp. and i had to call the parents.. at first, i was quite scared.. but then, i realised that its quite fun sitting in the aircon room and call parents. the parents were friendly too. and i managed to convince a little sec1 boy to come for the camp. and hes really cute.. as in the way he talked... like blur blur one. LOL! and so, he camp after lunch. and i was really happy :)
after that was games again... game ic and games members were running around the whole school, preparing for the games. ok, im the game member ;) and it was quite fun la.. just a little tiring. it was like amazing race.. and they have to search for a card in every location. so, i was the IC bringing the campers to the destinated area. and again, i told the sec1s to run, but they ignored me. LOL! until renon, the camp co-ord scream at them then they run. its not a good thing to be kind to them eh? LOL! after games, we had to clear up the mess. wah! tiring... and our legs were aching after running and running around the school. and for dinner, we could hardly eat... only ate some biscuits because we dont feel like eating.. and i was very satisfied with my biscuit, but ma'am and sir FORCED us to eat something else... lols! and den it was preparation for the night hike and the night walk... my job, was to scare the campers, in the school. they are supposed to walk around chinese garden and find clues and then walk back to school for the night walk. oh! i think the night walk was rather scary.. because at that time, the whole school was very dark and renon took us to the place we had to stay at scare ppl.. and while we were walking at the 4th floor of the f&n blk, derwin told us some scary things that happened there... and it was really dark there la... a little scary bt after awhile, it was alright. me and sijia was situated at lvl 4 staircase, all the way at the end (near the field). actually i think that the walk was nt scary enough because there is so little ppl to scare them. and scaring ppl is a very boring thing. LOL!
after night walk, we had debrief and then the campers can go wash up already.. but NCOs (sec3s) still had to gather.. :( and it was so late already and because it was very dark and they could not see me, i closed my eyes and pretended to listen. LOL! den dunno why, drag drag drag drag... and i could only bathe at about 1am. and the sec1s still dare to complain... because of lightnings, we were told to sleep in the classroom. so went back to classroom at about 1.30am, lie down awhile den need to do century duty already. until about 2.15am. den went back to lie down.. until 3am. then woke up and didnt sleep anymore. firstly, the lights in the classroom were on, and the CIs were talking. and they kept moving to take thing. secondly, the floor was hard and i was lying in a very awkward position. BESIDES, i could not sleep with people in the room looking at us. maybe they are not looking la.. but i feel very weird man! so i just sat down and stare into space... but i felt that it was very boring.. so i prayed... for myself, and my fellow squadmates that were sleeping. HEHEHE!!
2nd DAY!after we wash up. gt plenty of time to slack.. about 1 hour to slack.. so me and munteng went to lie down at the stone bench and look at the sky. ahhh! and we looked at the stars... and the clouds... oh.. it is a very nice experience... i find it very shiok lei.. hahhaa! but after that not very shiok. but hiking.. from kent ridge park all the way to vivo city. i think theres a shorter way there.. but we went a very long way... dunno walk where la... and that darren was happily walking. my legs were breaking man! 9km walk. or more than that... actually, i think that the hike would be more enjoyable if we walked slowly... they walk until v fast man! quite hard to catch up. and didnt really let us rest. (darren thinks that if we sit down, we have to walk a longer distance dunno because of what.) and nearing the end of the walk, we were running... i mean, after walking for 9km already, u're obviously tired and ur legs are breaking already.. still run.. lols! relax abit lah.. -.- not like ure rushing for what man.. we had plenty of time and i dun even noe what to do at vivo city lah! i spent most of my time there sitting. and something scary happened at vivo. sec1s were supposed to follow NCOs so that they wont get lost. and we had to walk in groups. but 1 sec1 from my grp just walked off herself when the NCOs were sitting together talking about something. then when we got her back, the NCOs in my grp were quite upset and scolded her.. scold until v jialat.. i see liao oso dunno what to do... so i told the girl to not do it again and told her to go back. bt suddenly, another NCO appear and scolded her until she cry :( and i kinda got a shock. after that, we went back to school and do area cleaning. after that gt some problems with pegs inside tentage. so we had to open up all the tents and count how many pegs there are... and there was a missing one :( and WE,the poor NCOs, did not noe what to do. LOL! after that, i went home and slept for 14 hours! waaahahahaa!! but, i think its still not enough...
though the camp is not really well done, bt i think we put in alot of effort already. (but seriously, i think i didnt do much. the cc, acc and secretory did most of the things.) at first, i was quite upset with the sec1's attitude, but i am very glad that one sec1 boy that i called, came to sch for camp after lunch. hohoho! and yes, thru this camp, i learnt alot of things... had quite alot of responsiblities. and as sec3, we must guide the sec1s and 2s. learnt some leadership skills (but i still cant scold ppl) and most importantly, i gained confidence... actually, just a little. LOL! and i noe how fortunate i am!!! once again, i realised that my bed is so beautiful......
