today's service was nt bad. yesterday night, i took some time to think about what ive done for the whole week. and i felt that my quiet time was rather pathetic... i was probably too comfortable... anyway, i was thinking abt my character and i rmb few days ago, i was rather rude to my dad because of some reasons. and i was quite angry la.. and so.... i was just reflecting and i was thinking how a child of God should be like.... now back to the service.... the sermon today was by ed silvoso. at first, it was quite boring because i could not catch what he was talking about... because he has a weird accent. so well, i was trying very hard to hear what he was talking about. bt after awhile, it was better... and hes sermon was so meaningful! and he shared alot of interesting stories abt transformation in schools, prison and even nation. and i was so encouraged by the stories. i was just very amazed by how God turns things around and that blessing is so powerful. anyway, the sermon really spoke to me... pastor ed mentioned tt we must really learn to bless... and not to respond in anger.... and he said that the people dont see us as children of God because we are not peacemakers. and then he also shared about bringing the kingdom of God to the marketplace. and i caught smth quite funny... "when you bless those who curse you, you are spraying the presence of God on the devil." it doesnt sound funny like tt... but the way he said during service was really funny. HOHO!!
after that, there was altar calling... i just felt that i needed to go up and be prayed for, so i went forward...i knelt down for a very very long time until someone came to pray for me... so tt person asked me what she can pray for me.. and the only thing i could think of was open cell... and so she prayed for me. when she prayed for me... my whole body started trembling and it was like "burning" and i was crying uncontrollably. every word she spoke was just the exact word i needed and i was shocked. well, she kept emphasizing on obeying God's call. and i believe she meant open cell. i rmb she said something that really shook me.
"you dont have to do what others, what the world think is correct. you are different from others! you are a child of God! you are different!" den at the end of it, she blessed me with a verse.. 2 cor 2:14. "But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ" indeed, God is leading me in triumphal procession. and so after she prayed for me, she gave me a hug and i started crying again... i just felt as if God was giving me a hug.
i just felt really blessed after today's service. it just opened my eyes to see things the way God sees it.
pastor ed made us repeat this several times...
Greater is he who is in me than the one who is in this world!AMEN!
