today was another day to NUH. denise had lots of school work to do so she didnt go with me... as usual, met ps patrick there... i walked around the wards aimlessly for 10mins before i saw an uncle that kept looking at me so i went to talk to him... at first he wasnt quite friendly so i thought that i shld leave him alone... den when i told him tt i will not disturb him, he told me.. "oh.. no no no..." so since he doesnt want me to go, i talked to him! HAHAHAH! and after talking to him for awhile, he told me that hes a christian.. so i very happy... talk talk talk to him... den he told me hes from bukit panjang methodist church.. and its the church tt i used to go when i was about.... 5 years old? so ya.. we chit chat.. until pastor called me to go to the isolation room with him to visit a leukemia patient. the patient was quite a new believer.. i think the pastor led him to christ.... den i was listening to them talk... hes going for a transplant nxt week, so im gonna visit him nxt week. then, ps patrick shared with him psalm 23...."
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." he read finish then he explain to him... and it was so touching and comforting that i almost cried... and the patient almost cried too lah. den we prayed for him and said byebye.
then, we went to visit another patient in the isolation room. its a lady that is only 22 years old... but she looks quite alright... bt she did complain that shes in pain... bt then pastor told her something very encouraging and told her that she will overcome it.. and she said "yes i will! yes i will!" so encouraging.... anyway, i think the isolation rooms are really scary.... ure really isolated man.... the atmosphere there is so..... weird..... and sad..... and rather depressing... ure like really locked up in the room.. windows all closed, dark curtains, and the lights are rather dim too...
bt anyway, i had a nice day at NUH today..
