i went to NUH today.... first, is because i cant make it on saturday. second is because janice was going to NUH to remove her leg cast. i realised tt i was at NUH for 5 hours! anyway, today i talked to 2 patient....
i saw Mdm phua again. she look happier today... tt time she was not feeling well and was giddy so we didnt talk much... her brain tumor is removed and she would be discharged tmr. she told me that she has colon cancer, and it was the cancer cells tt spread to her brain and caused the tumor. she smiled a few times... ohhhhh.. i like patients that smile to me.. HAHA! and shes quite funny too.. shes 50 smth and is still single.... i had a nice time talking to her...
den, Mdm phua wanted to sleep and told me to talk to the patient lying opposite her bed. shes Mdm foo... i like her. she kept smiling at me... and her smile is so cute! she told me that she was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago. she has been warded for 1 month already... actually i saw her a few times already, but didnt dare to talk to her cus she looks so fierce. but actually shes very nice... and she told me that she is happy... and that
we need to be happy to survive. i was wondering WHY this patient can be smiling so happily when she has been fighting cancer for 5 years and has been warded in the hospital for 1 month! and den.. i found out the reason why!! she said "when i am free, i will read my bible." i thought i heard wrongly so i asked her "read what?" LOL! and she has this little book with quotes from the bible... she told me that it encourages her. there was this phrase inside that little book saying "DEATH IS THE BEGINNING OF NEW LIFE." yeah... if we dont die, how we know how life is like? oh anyway, i am so encouraged by her. den before saying bye to her, i held her hands and prayed for her... and this time, there wasnt fear.
den i went for lunch and i went to find janice at clinic B. spent quite some time there tho.. haha! but i found out quite a lot of things from her maid. her maid is rather cute... HAHA! anyway, janice finally took out her cast and shes happy.. actually, i think her mum seems to be more happy.
wheee! i am starting to read the chinese bible... thankyou miss won for lending it to me. LOL! actually, i dun understand wad the chinese version is talking about.. so i have to keep refering to the english one. LOL! mian.... the words are so chim ok.. like chinese literature text! HAHAHHA! okay! i think ive been slacking like a slacker for the past few days.... enough of rest.. i am ready to go back to school.... but there are a few more days to slack! yay!
