i'm finally back to VOLUNTEER AT NUH!
its been like 8months since i last visited NUH. although it is still the same familiar smell of the hospital, alot of things changed! they have automatic doors in all wards that needs card to access! when i went into ward 57, the door was wide open so i went in happily... i decided to go walk 58 after that and when i stepped out of ward 57, the door was shut so tightly! at that moment, i felt so pathetic!
i decided to go to the children's ward to check it out. i felt so depressed when it was also card access. so i went to look for the security and they told me that i could just press the button at the intercom and i would be in. i went back to ward 57 and tried to press the button like 5 times and it didnt work! so guess what i did? i waited for somebody to come out so i could go in! HEE! actually, i have the volunteer card, but i doubt it works on the sensor so i decided not to embarrass myself by trying to tap on it.
i was actually quite worried that i wont get to talk to anybody today because i was kinda scared to approach someone. i havent been there for a very long time and i feel so lost there. besides, i was there all alone... a loner. LOL!!
thank God he gave me the courage to talk to an uncle. I didnt feel scared at all! HAHAHA!!!! i talked to him for more than an hour and we had a great time chatting. uncle koh has leukemia and is recovering fast! i was so glad to hear that. anyway, i told him that i was going to play chinese chess the next time i see him... i ended the conversation by wishing him speedy recovery. hopefully the next time i see him wont be in the hospital.
whee! there is always a sense of satisfaction everytime i leave NUH blessing somebody!
